A Florida man told police last week that the bullet wound
on his leg was actually from his dog.
According to the police report, Gregory Dale Lanier was
driving on State Road 17 North when his dog kicked his
"unloaded" .380 pistol, causing it to fire. He "heard a boom,
saw smoke, and felt a burning feeling on his leg."
Lanier told police he was surprised for two reasons: 1.
He thought the gun was unloaded. 2. He also didn't know
the gun was a 9mm.
Police say that they did not arrest the dog.
